Mahlo at „Orientation Day” in Abensberg

What am I going to become when school ends? That is a question every student has to ask not later than at the end of his or her school days. Answers to that provided the Orientation Day at Johann-Turmair Secondary School in Abensberg. Nearly 70 companies, organizations and specialized schools presented what they had to offer. Of course Mahlo GmbH + Co. KG had scheduled this date.

Instructors Eva-Maria Mark and Andreas Beil were on site together with three trainees in order to inform young people about the professional possibilities at the machine builder from Saal. Twelve different apprenticeship trades are available at the family-owned traditional company. Among others, industrial clerks, technical product designers, mechatronics engineers, electronics engineers or industrial mechanics are trained there. “Which option someone chooses mostly depends on personal interest and strengths”, Beil explains. To find out where these lie, many students decide to do an internship. Corresponding to that, the inquiries at the Mahlo stand were plenty. What to expect with the different professions, the students and their parents could learn at the machine builder’s presentation.

Markl, responsible for commercial training at Mahlo, was happy with the participation’s outcome: “There was a good crowd at our booth as well as at our presentation. Our goal was to meet many young talents and show them the possibilities at Mahlo. We have achieved that.” Mahlo also will showcase at Orientation Day in Riedenburg on 23 March and at the apprenticeship and job fair in Kelheim on 29 March.
