Mahlo and Reechi join forces for the battery market
Battery Show Europe
At this year’s Battery Show Europe, Mahlo GmbH + Co. KG has exciting news to share: the renowned German manufacturer of on line measurement and control solutions for flat materials is joining forces with Reechi, one of China’s leading experts in battery measurement technology. This strategic alliance aims to serve the growing European battery industry with cutting-edge online measurement and control technology.
Founded in 2017, Reechi has rapidly grown into a powerhouse in the battery sector, supplying big industry players among others with state-of-the-art online measurement systems. The company is recognized for its portfolio of sensors with technical advantages in the measurement of thickness, basis weight and density. In particular, measuring the edge thinning areas of lithium-ion battery electrode coatings is unbeatable. With hundreds of installations per year and a deep understanding of this fast-moving industry, Reechi brings valuable expertise to the partnership.
Starting in 2025, Mahlo will take over the distribution and after-sales service for selected Reechi products in Europe. This partnership combines Mahlo’s 80 years of experience in measurement and control systems for coating, finishing, and film industries with Reechi’s technology for battery production. European customers will benefit from local service, a strong support network, and advanced solutions for quality control in anode and cathode coating, as well as calendering lines, combining the expertise of both companies.
In all other industrial sectors, the two partners will continue to operate completely independently of each other.
A key highlight of the cooperation is the installation of a Reechi demo line at Mahlo’s testing center near Regensburg, Germany. This setup will allow experts to conduct comprehensive sample tests, giving customers hands-on insights into the capabilities of the technology.
"We are excited to join forces with Reechi and bring our collective strengths to the European battery industry," emphasized Rainer Mestermann, CEO. The responsible Product Manager Battery Applications, Tobias Fanderl, adds: "This partnership will enable us to offer innovative solutions and exceptional service to our customers, helping them achieve greater efficiency and quality in their production processes."
The Battery Show Europe marks the first joint appearance of Mahlo and Reechi at booth 8-A63, highlighting the beginning of a promising alliance that is set to drive advancements in the battery industry. Visitors to the show are invited to visit the Mahlo and Reechi booth to learn more about the new cooperation and the benefits it offers.
