Greater Quality and Efficiency for Technical Textiles
Mahlo at Techtextil
Technical textiles and nonwovens have become indispensable in a wide range of industrial applications – while at the same time, the demands on their production continue to increase. How quality, efficiency and process reliability can be specifically enhanced will be demonstrated by Mahlo GmbH + Co. KG at Techtextil in Frankfurt. In Hall 12, Stand D58, the company will provide insights into its latest developments in measurement and control technology.
At the center of the trade fair presentation are selected highlights from the company’s modular system portfolio for process control and automatic weft straightening. Mahlo demonstrates how production processes in the technical textiles and nonwovens industry can be sustainably optimized and stabilized. Using proven straightening systems and state-of-the-art online measurement technology, the company shows how fabric distortions can be reliably corrected and key quality parameters continuously monitored during the running production process.
A particular focus is placed on the Qualiscan QMS quality measurement system. Equipped with a wide range of intelligent sensors, the system enables precise online measurement of key parameters such as basis weight, coating weight, thickness, temperature and dwell time. Thanks to multi-channel measurement concepts, several values or material layers can be captured and analyzed simultaneously.
“Especially in the production of technical textiles and nonwovens, it is crucial to detect process fluctuations at an early stage and keep them under control,” explains Matthias Wulbeck, Product Manager QCS at Mahlo. “With the Qualiscan QMS, we offer a flexible platform that can be precisely adapted to different production conditions while combining high measurement accuracy with economic efficiency.”
Another highlight is the presentation of a new X-ray sensor for measuring unbonded nonwovens. This new development opens up additional possibilities for precise, non-contact online measurements in demanding nonwoven applications and underlines Mahlo’s commitment to continuously advancing sensor technology for the production of technical textiles.
