Sustainability has top priority at the machine manufacturer

Even if corona has been the predominant topic since last year, one guiding principle must always be present at modern companies like Mahlo GmbH + Co. KG: a climate-friendly and future-oriented organization of the company. This is why the family-run machine builder has become a member of the BNW Bundesverband für Nachhaltige Wirtschaft e.V. (Federal Association for Sustainable Business) this year, an ecologically oriented business association.

"With climate change progressing, the issue of sustainability in business is a top priority," says owner Ralph Greenwood-Mahlo. The family feels a firm commitment to sustainable business. That's why they joined the BNW, he says. "We want to use its many years of experience and network structures for our future sustainability strategy in business." Since 1992, companies that combine responsibility for the economy, the environment and society have been involved in the BNW.

"Our vision is an economy that is sustainable in harmony with people, climate and nature. In order to achieve this, we work together for political framework conditions that pave the way to this goal," says Katharina Reuter, Managing Director of the Bundesverband Nachhaltige Wirtschaft e.V., describing the association's goals. Mahlo would like to make its contribution to this in the future.
