First step towards a professional future
Seven new apprentices start their training at Mahlo
Seven young talents have begun their professional careers at Mahlo GmbH + Co. KG this year. Over the next three years, they will train as industrial clerks, electronics technicians, mechatronics technicians, IT specialists, and technical product designers. By doing so, the Saal-based machine manufacturer continues to focus on securing its own skilled workforce – a topic more important than ever in times of labor shortages.
“Well-trained employees are the foundation of our success. That is why vocational training has always played a very important role at Mahlo,” emphasizes Managing Director Rainer Mestermann.
To make sure the new team members don’t have to dive straight into the deep end, their first week began with introduction days. The program included a meet-and-greet with trainers from all departments and the management board, a short company presentation, joint breakfasts and lunches, as well as a team game to get to know each other better. The apprentices’ expectations of their employer – and vice versa – were also discussed. The week concluded with a relaxed barbecue together with apprentices from all training years.
A new feature this year: Each new apprentice is assigned a mentor from a higher training year. These mentors are available for questions, explain processes, and help the newcomers integrate more easily into everyday working life.
“We want our apprentices to feel welcome from the very beginning and to learn in an open environment. The introduction days and the mentoring program are an important step in this direction,” explains Training Manager [insert name].
Mahlo wishes its new apprentices a successful start to their professional careers and looks forward to accompanying them on their journey.
