Welcome to Mahlo!

Ten young people start their training

The training of young skilled workers has a long tradition at Mahlo and is of great importance. That is why the mechanical engineering company welcomed ten trainees this year. Welcome days were first on the programme to make it easier for them to start the new phase of their lives.

Resul Yaylagül, industrial training manager, and Rebecca Ziegler, responsible for the commercial trainees, welcomed the "newcomers" on their first day at work. After a brief company presentation by Managing Director Rainer Mestermann, the programme included a round of introductions, a tour of the company and a joint pizza lunch. In the afternoon, everyone was then allowed to go to their future workplace. "It's important to us that we don't throw the young people in at the deep end straight away. That should take away some of their excitement," says Yaylagül.

In the first week, the new trainees can look forward to further joint activities, including together with the trainees from all apprenticeship years. "This promotes team spirit right from the start and makes it easier to settle in." In the second week, the two industrial clerks, one warehouse logistics specialist, two IT specialists, three industrial mechanics and two electronics technicians will really get going.
