Stamperia Pezzoli offers printing and finishing services for textiles for more than 35 years, maintaining the highest quality standards in every step of the manufacturing process and ensuring a highly competitive service in terms of technology and styling. Stamperia Pezzoli's finished textiles are used worldwide mainly for furniture and linen in households, hotels and hospitals. They are also used in the shipping industry and in the outdoor sector.

Pezzoli relies on Mahlo technology for straight-thread fabrics as well as process control and quality control during the finishing processes on the stenter frame. In the installation shown, a combination of Orthopac weft straighteners at the inlet and outlet of the stenter frame ensures perfect straightening results. For the best printing results, the Patcontrol system also monitors the pattern repeat and pattern distortion. The parameters in the stenter frame - dwell time, exhaust air moisture, residual moisture, fabric width - are monitored by the Optipac process control system.

Bow and skew detection and control

The Orthopac FMC automatic straightener is the heart and core of the Orthopac. The device consists of an optical scanning system and electronic control for distortion correction.

It is used primarily to detect and log residual distortions in the exit end of a system, e.g. with the stenter. Thread density can be determined at the same time. It can also be connected to external straightening machines then serving them as control unit.

Skewing of the product during manufacture alters the structure of textile webs. A distorted product depreciates in useful value, affects subsequent processing and invites complaints. 

The integrated optical distortion detection Orthopac FMC  is capable of handling the variety of usual colours, print and Jacquard patterns as well as surface structures such as pile and loop.

The scanning system detects and analyses the regular basic structure of the weft threads, courses or rows of tufting. If necessary, their density is determined at the same time.

For the control of various straightening devices, for pull-off rollers, chain differentials and multiple motor drives: The FMC distortion detection Orthopac constitutes the universal automatic straightening system. It can be installed upstream and downstream of a wide variety of production plants.

Equipped with digital scanning and state-ofthe-art processor technology, it adapts the control automatically to different textiles and displays distortion changes ergonomically and conveniently on the screen.
